Michael Fullan, O.C. is Professor Emeritus of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto. Recognized as a worldwide authority on educational reform, Michael is engaged in advising policymakers and local leaders around the world in helping to achieve the moral purpose of all children learning. His books have been published in many languages. Michael has been a driving force behind the advances in the Ontario education system.

Dr. Ken Leithwood
Dr. Ken Leithwood

Ken Leithwood is Professor Emeritus of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto. He is a world renowned expert in the field of educational leadership, with many books and papers in the field. Ken is the author of the Ontario Leadership Framework (2013) and continues to guide leadership development in the province of Ontario.

 

Dr. Avis Glaze
Dr. Avis Glaze

Avis Glaze is an international leader in the field of education. As one of Canada’s outstanding educators, she has been recognized for her work in leadership development, student achievement, school and system improvement, character development and equity of outcomes for all students. As Ontario’s first Chief Student Achievement Officer and founding CEO of the Literacy and Numeracy Secretariat, she played a pivotal role in improving student achievement in Ontario schools.

Avis Glaze  has worked with educators and advised governments in over 20 countries and several states. As one of Canada’s outstanding educators, she has been recognized for her work in leadership development, student achievement, school and system improvement, character development and equity of outcomes for all students. As Ontario’s first Chief Student Achievement Officer and founding CEO of the Literacy and Numeracy Secretariat, she played a pivotal role in improving student achievement in Ontario schools. The two recent books which she has co-authored are: Breaking Barriers: Excellence and Equity for All, and High School Graduation: K-12 Strategies that Work.

Dr. Andy Hargreaves
Dr. Andy Hargreaves

Andy Hargreaves is the Thomas More Brennan Chair in the Lynch School of Education at Boston College. The mission of the Chair is to promote social justice and connect theory and practice in education. He has authored or edited more than 30 books and a number of them have achieved outstanding writing and book awards from the National Staff Development Council, the American Educational Research Association, the American Libraries Association and the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education and are translated into many languages.

Dr. Lyn Sharratt
Dr. Lyn Sharratt

Lyn Sharratt is supervisor of the Doctor of Education Internship Requirement, OISE/University of Toronto. Her experiences include: superintendent of curriculum and instruction, superintendent of schools, curriculum consultant and administrator, pre-service university instructor, seconded professional learning associate at the provincial union, director of curriculum and program at the provincial trustees’ associations and teacher of elementary and secondary-age students in inner city and rural settings. Lyn is the lead author, with Michael Fullan, O.C. of Realization: The Change Imperative for Deepening District-Wide Reform  and Putting FACES on the Data: What Great Leaders Do!  Her keynotes, presentations, research, juried journal articles and practitioner work with administrators and teacher-leaders in systems and school districts across Canada, USA, UK, Australia, Switzerland and Chile demonstrate what it takes to be a dynamic, strategic, innovative instructional leader for today and beyond.

Dr. Karen Edge
Dr. Karen Edge

Karen Edge is a Professor at the University of London, England. Her work explores issues related to educational change and reform within UK and international contexts with a focus on leadership, policy and networking. For the last three years, her team has been engaged in research and development related to international partnerships between schools in the UK, Africa and Asia.

Dr. Simon Breakspear

Dr. Simon Breakspear is an engaged speaker known internationally for his insights on learning innovation and system reform. Founder and CEO of LearnLabs, a global learning research and design agency, he has advised educational leaders across the world how to navigate disruptive change, develop innovation capabilities and drive continuous improvement for better learning.

Simon is the author of the influential papers Talent Magnets: Attracting & Retaining Top Talent and How does PISA Shape Education Policy, as well as the forthcoming book Agile Leadership for Learning.

Holding Bachelors degrees in Psychology and Teaching, a Masters of International and Comparative Education from the University of Oxford and a PhD in education from the University of Cambridge, Simon was also a Commonwealth Scholar at the University of Oxford and a Gates Scholar at the University of Cambridge. Following he began his work in education as a high school teacher in Sydney, Australia.

His unique fusion of applied research, real-world experience and dynamic style enables him to help senior leaders rethink assumptions and find innovative ways of leading for the future of learning. Simon still lives in Sydney Australia with his wife and two young children.
